Developer White Rabbit and publisher Serenity Forge have announced that Death's Gambit: Afterlife, an expanded and refined version of the original Death's Gambit, which released for Xbox One in February 2020, will be coming to Xbox in spring 2022.
A 2D metroidvania action game with combat that demands precision, Death's Gambit: Afterlife will expand upon the original with 10 new levels, 22 new weapons, 100 talents, skills, storylines, cinematics, gameplay enhancements, and more. It's apparently the most “definitive version” of Death's Gambit to date.
The new Ashes of Vados DLC will also be coming to Xbox, adding a new boss encounter, which wraps up the final story thread in Death's Gambit: Afterlife; new game modifiers to spice up new runs with randomised items, heroic forced, and hardcore modes; as well as a new platforming challenge level and Arena with boss rush and horde mode.
Death's Gambit: Afterlife will be coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One in spring 2022, alongside the new Ashes of Vados DLC pack, which will cost $7.99/£6.69.
