Developer Spiderling Studios has announced that Besiege, its physics-based building game in which you construct medieval siege engines to smash fortresses, peaceful hamlets, and battalions of soldiers to smithereens.

Of course, there will be enemies attempting to prevent your machine from crushing the Kingdom, by destroying their castles, their men, and valuable livestock, which means they'll mount desperate attacks using cannons, archers, and whatever else they can. Some might even attempt attacks from the skies.

You'll also need to solve physics-based puzzles, as you conquer Besiege's four different islands with fully-destructible levels, across the single-player campaign. Using the game's Workshop, you'll be able to build and share your creations, before setting about bringing your enemies to their knees.

The work-in-progress Game Preview version of Besiege will be coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on 10th February, available day one via Xbox Game Pass. Check out the trailer below.

  • This game is loads of fun but on console idk a controller would be very complex we'll have to see I guess
  • Yeah I assume controller complexity, and trying to simplify things in a way that will still work on controller, is why it's coming to consoles years after PC
