Having been previously pushed into February, Evil Dead: The Game has been delayed again, in a bid to apply a little extra polish to the game. Now, Ash will be locked and loaded in time for carving up deadheads with a chainsaw in May - on Friday the 13th, somewhat aptly.
“This delay gives our team the time they need to get things just right, so your boomstick will be polished, fully loaded, and ready to blast Deadites on that Friday the 13th of May,” reads a statement from the official Evil Dead: The Game Twitter. “We thank you for your patience and understanding.”
The delay into February came as developer Boss Team Games and publisher Saber Interactive wanted to add single-player and spend more time polishing. Originally announced back in December 2020, the game is an asymmetrical PvP affair, with four co-op survivors pitted against one player as the Kandarian Demon.
Of course, the legendary Bruce Campbell will star as Ash, complete with mechanical appendage. Evil Dead: The Game will now be launching for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 13th May 2022. Expect a new trailer next month.
