Publisher Red Art Games has announced that Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity will be creeping onto Xbox One this time next week.
Originally released on PC back in 2016, Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity is described by developer Pugware as a “survival-horror game inspired by Resident Evil 1, Dark Souls, and Eternal Darkness”. From the new console trailer down below, we can definitely see the Souls inspiration - there's big bosses with even bigger health bars to take down, and you have a stamina meter you need to keep an eye on - but the game also claims to “test your sanity”. Spooky.
Set in an alternate history version of 1897, you're contracted to eliminate the source of a strange and unnatural fog at the Berelai Manor. Once inside, you discover a madness has taken over the former servants, and you'll have to fend them off using a cane and a hand cannon - it all sounds rather Bloodborne, if you ask me.
Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on 11th February 2022. You can check out the new trailer down below.
