CrossfireX Launches For Xbox Today, Xbox Game Pass Users Unable to Access Campaign

Developer Smilegate has today released its free-to-play shooter CrossfireX, following its announcement back in 2019. Featuring a single-player campaign from Alan Wake, Control, and Quantum Break studio Remedy Entertainment, CrossfireX also includes a selection of modern and classic multiplayer modes to delve into

The CrossfireX campaign is available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers, but users have been unable to access campaign content. Microsoft has acknowledged the issue on its Xbox Support account on Twitter, offering assurances that it's “working to resolve” whatever it is that's preventing Game Pass members accessing the campaign.

CrossfireX is available for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One now, offering fast-paced first-person shooter action, and a cinematic campaign that puts you at the centre of a global conflict between two feuding private military factions.   • I played three games yesterday. All three games were on that Dust II ripoff map. All three games lagged out by the third round. I feel for anyone who paid for this on xbox.
  • I sure as shit wouldn't pay for his title but had no issues in the 10+ matches I played yesterday. Knocked out half the achievements without even trying for any of them.

    If anyone actually pays for the "free" campaign, I hope they're refunded.
