Old-school PC shooter PowerSlave is making a comeback, launching today on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Developed by remaster specialist Nightdive Studios, who also worked on Shadow Man: Remastered and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, PowerSlave Exhumed takes players back to the ancient Egyptian city of Karnak, where an alien invasion has begun. Using a combination of modern weapons and ancient artefacts, players will have to shoot their way through mummies, zombies, giant insects, and alien warriors.

PowerSlave Exhumed sees this ‘90s PC title running at 4K / 60FPS on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, with new widescreen support, SMAA anti-aliasing, and anisotropic texture filtering. There’s also Achievement support, of course, as well as new real-time dynamic lighting. It all looks lovely and smooth - you can check it out in action in the trailer down below.

PowerSlave Exhumed is out today on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

  • Needs more Iron Maiden.
  • @Blue n Gold Eel: I remember the Quake port that so many people at the time said would be impossible on Saturn, but Lobotomy nailed it.
I loved Exhumed in the 90s, but I don't think I want to pay $30 to revisit it. Maybe when it's on sale.
