Fallout TV Series Announced With Walton Goggins to Star

Richard Walker

Amazon Prime Video has announced that it's working on a Fallout TV series, adapting Bethesda's post-apocalyptic for the streaming service, with Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight, The Righteous Gemstones, Justified, The Shield) attached to star.

Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy's (of Westworld fame) Kilter Films will produce the show, with Nolan helming the premiere episode as director. Goggins is thought to be playing a Ghoul in the Fallout TV show, while Bethesda Game Studios' Todd Howard and Bethesda Softworks' James Altman will also be on board as executive producers.

Set within the iconic post-apocalyptic wasteland, the Fallout TV series is due to enter production later this year, with Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serving as showrunners. You can find out more in Deadline's report here.

  • And Tomb Raider. Keeping it on brand with a gaming reference.
  • Would've rather had an Elder Scrolls show, like Game of Thrones or the new LotR one, but this sounds interesting, especially with the Westworld people and Wally Goggs attached.
  • Another pass.
  • I like the irony of it being from the crew behind Westworld, considering the Westworld Mobile game was outed to have ripped off code and assets from Fallout Shelter.
  • Another IP to be made to annoy fans.
  • What is up with all these games becoming movies/tv shows these days. Starting to be a nonstop trend.
  • @Distractor08 Gaming is the biggest money maker in all of entertainment media now. It’s huge. No longer that sort of niche hobby thought to be only played by sweaty nerds so it’s seeping in to more mainstream TV media now
  • The show was announced in 2020. Only the Walton Goggins part was recent.
