WB Interactive and TT Games have released a new LEGO Stars Wars: The Skywalker Saga behind the scenes trailer, offering a look at the evolution of the LEGO Star Wars as the “most ambitious LEGO video game” yet is set to launch this April.

Retelling the story covered in all nine mainline Star Wars movies, The Skywalker Saga will include the usual LEGO humour, a new third-person perspective, new combat mechanics, classic Star Wars ships created in-game in brick-perfect detail, and the ability to play using the old-school ‘Mumble Mode’.

The new video also looks at some of the Easter eggs you'll be able to uncover in the game, including the unlockable ‘Pew Pew Mode’, which replaces weapon sound effects with “phonetic mouth noises that simulate blasters, lightsabers and more”. There's also a look at some of the characters, creatures, and spacecrafts you'll find, in a bunch of fresh gameplay.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 5th April, with a digital pre-order granting day one early access to the Trooper Character Pack DLC and Classic Obi-Wan Kenobi, both of which will also be available for standalone purchase.

  • I've played several of the LEGO games with younger cousins or significant others, but this game is looking genuinely good.
  • This will be my 26th and final LEGO game. Started and is going to end with Stat Wars.

Just hope it’s more than 1000G as it’s 9 movies, but probably not.

Also, no talk of a season pass yet, something that was announced for previous games well before release.
