Frontier Developments has announced that Jurassic World Evolution 2 will be receiving a new DLC next week, the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack bringing with it two brand new dinosaurs, two “fascinating” variants of existing species, and eight new skins. A free update will roll out at the same time.

Based upon the 'Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous' Netflix animated series, the pack includes one of Dr. Henry Wu's first hybrid dinos, the Scorpios rex, with its red eyes, charcoal-black scales, and rampant aggression. The Monolophosaurus is the second new prehistoric beastie, the crested carnivore known for its razor-edged teeth and piercing claws.

The peaceful Ouranosauraus and Kentrosaurus herbivores also get new variants with the upcoming DLC, alongside Bumpy the Ankylosaurus, Toro the Carnotaurus, Big Eatie the Tyrannosaurus rex, and Baryonyx trio Grim, Limbo, and Chaos skins. Two Parasaurolophus Lux-inspired glow-in-the-dark skins will also be included as part of the DLC.

The Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack DLC launches for Jurassic World Evolution 2 on 8th March, priced $9.99/£7.99/€9.99. A free update will drop at the same time, offering several new features, including a Species Viewer, enabling you to peruse dino species in more detail; a First Person View, so you can get "up-close and personal" with your prehistoric attractions; and new decoration items, like trees and such; and changes to sandbox mode alongside various “other exciting enhancements”.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is available for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC - you can check out our review here. The new DLC will follow the ‘Early Cretaceous Pack’ released in December, which added four new dinosaurs.

  • Enjoyed the first game and love the IP as a whole. Too many of these nickel and dime DLCs to be a day one purchase for me. Hopefully there's a "complete" edition on the horizon.
