Embracer Group has announced that it is donating one million US dollars to help support Ukraine, as Russia's invasion of the country continues.

The Swedish company, which acts as the parent company of video game publishers such as THQ Nordic, Koch Media, and Gearbox Entertainment, is donating the one million dollars for “humanitarian aid to support those impacted” through organisations including the International Committee of the Red Cross, SOS Children's Villages, and ACT Alliance. Additionally, Embracer Group CEO Lars Wingefors will be matching the donation with another $1 million to “support our employees and contractors who are directly impacted by the crisis”.

“Millions of people are experiencing unthinkable hardships in Ukraine,” Embracer Group wrote in a statement.

Embracer is the latest video game company to offer its support to Ukraine. Last week, Polish developer 11 Bit Studio announced that all profits from its anti-war title This War of Mine for seven days would be collected and donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross.
