Ahead of its cinema release next month, Paramount Pictures has dropped a new Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie trailer, riffing upon The Batman, with the Blue Blur having a super heroic alter-ego of his own.
Dubbed ‘Blue Justice’, Sonic (voiced by Ben Schwartz) will once again lock horns with Jim Carrey's Doctor Robotnik, as the moustachioed villain enlists the aid of red echidna, Knuckles, voiced by Idris Elba.
This time around, Sonic will have Miles ‘Tails’ Prower at his side, helping out with his red biplane, which debuted in the Sky Chase level of 1992's Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Chaos Emeralds, Robotnik's final boss mecha from Sonic 2 and other sights are on offer in the new trailer, too, which you can check out below.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will come to cinemas in the UK on 1st April, before releasing Stateside a week later on 8th April. There will be more to come, too, with Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and a Knuckles TV series starring Idris Elba confirmed last month.
