Rare has detailed what's in store for the upcoming Sea of Thieves Season Six, including the addition of Sea Fort mini-raids and replayable voyages for Pirate Legends. There will be a total of six Sea Forts to tackle as part of the new season when it lands next week, as well as further treasures hunts for Pirate Legends to embark upon.

The Sea Forts can be completed alone or as part of a full crew, with plenty of loot to be plundered within their walls. Sea Forts are larger and more complex than Sea of Thieves' existing forts, and offer a personalised challenge for solo pirates or crews seeking a nice chunk of booty. Three new Adventures will also be added, alongside a new Plunder Pass.

New Pirate Legend Voyages, meanwhile, will have you using maps to track down treasure, digging your way through ship graveyards, and other spots harbouring buried goodies. Of course, Season Six will have a fair bit of new stuff to offer when it launches in Sea of Thieves on 10th March, but there's a lot more to come, as outlined in the 2022 roadmap below.

During 2022, you can expect Seasons Seven, Eight, and Nine, with even more Adventures, mysteries, Emporium content, and Plunder Passes. Sea of Thieves' Shrouded Islands also recently came to an end, while The Arena mode is set to expire at the same time Season Six rolls out, giving you less than a week to obtain any associated achievements.
