  • I just want to know why, in 2022, they still aren’t doing online co-op for Lego games anymore. They said that a change in game engine would allow them more freedom when asked if they would make this game online co-op, hinting at its inclusion, but the store listing says it won’t be. Now it could be that the store listing is incorrect. But seeing as none of the marketing has said anything about it, I’m gonna guess it isn’t.

I know in the early days of Lego games, online was always ropey and janky, but we’ve come a long way since then. Internet speeds have improved, use of dedicated servers has become more common for console games, net code has got better, there are various middleware solutions widely used by developers to facilitate online play, games that are larger, more complex and graphically intensive have it… but TT just won’t commit?

It’s not like I won’t buy the game because of its omission, but I’m for sure bummed that it won’t be there.
  • My buddy and I were legit talking about playing this online together. He was excited for it. He’s rarely excited for a game.
  • Do we know how much yet?
  • @oliver - it's been up for preorder for a couple of weeks. Base is $59.99 USD and deluxe is $69.99 USD.
  • Online retailers already sell it (base game) at 39,99€. I pre-ordered it when there was an extra 5€ discount offer on Amazon, so I'm not paying 70€ for game+pass digitally when the base game I'll have for 34,99€... If the season pass is 9,99€ I'll consider it but not a
  • cent higher. With 500+ characters already I'll have enough fun as it is anyway. A pass with levels I could pay 20+€ for but not just for characters....
