The DioField Chronicle is a Real-Time Strategy RPG Coming to Xbox in 2022

Sporting a name that makes it sound like the local newspaper of a tiny village somewhere, The DioField Chronicle is, in fact, a real-time strategy RPG title, bringing a new adventure set within a beautiful world, alongside a 'Real Time Tactical Battle system.

Created by an in-house Square Enix team comprising several veterans including Character Designer Taiki (Lord of Vermillion III, IV), and Kamikokuryo Isamu (Final Fantasy XII, XIII), as well as Sound Composers Ramin Djawadi and Brandon Campbell (Game of Thrones), The DioField Chronicle blends fantasy, medieval, and modern day influences.

Set within the land of Rowetale, you'll command your own army against the Empire, a powerful faction well-versed in wielding magic. Leading The Alliance for The Kingdom of Alletain, you'll fight over precious jade (a resource that powers modern magic and tech), which is in abundance in the eponymous region of DioField.

Heroes Fredret, Iscarion, Waltaquin, and Andrias will unite as an elite band of mercs calling themselves ‘Blue Fox’, battling the Empire in an effort to save a world on the brink of tragedy. You can find out more in the announcement trailer below. The DioField Chronicle is due to launch for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2022.
