Sea of Thieves Season Six Launches Today With Sea Forts, a Fresh Plunder Pass, and New Pirate Adventures

Today sees Season Six of Sea of Thieves launching on Xbox and PC, bringing with it new mini-raids to undertake via Sea Forts, new limited-time Adventures to delve into, and a new Plunder Pass to purchase.

Season Six also includes 100 levels of free rewards to work through, unlocking cosmetics and “other goodies” as you go forth and build Renown. This includes plying your pirate trade in the new Sea Forts, conjured from the ether by Captain Flameheart. There are six Sea Forts to conquer, each brimming with loot and its own phantom residents to overcome. Once you've cleared a fort, you can then enjoy its comforts, including a blazing open fire and a swig of grog.

Later in Season Six, you'll be able to embark upon an exclusive Pirate Legend Voyage, titled ‘ Legend of the Veil’. In the upcoming Voyage, you'll be tasked with finding lost Veil Stones across new locations, while tackling a series of “ever-changing” challenges, including a climactic naval battle against a Ghost Garrison. This will arrive alongside a rise in the Athena's Fortune Trading Company level cap from 20 to 30, with new cosmetics, Commendations, and achievements to earn.

Round out Season Six is the Season Six Plunder Pass, headlined by the Spring Blossom ship set, and the evolving Forest's Blessing costume (which transforms as you move through Season Six's 100 levels). The Pirate Emporium also has the Islehopper Outlaw ship set, matching costume, weapons, and a banjo, as well as the ‘Bunch of Posers Emote Bundle’. There's a free emote for March to be had, too.

You can check out what's in store for Sea of Thieves Season Six in the trailers below, then you can set sail on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
