Tiny Tina's Wonderlands will feature full crossplay across all platforms at launch, Gearbox has announced.

While more and more multiplayer games are embracing cross-platform play these days, this case is particularly notable, since Sony reportedly blocked crossplay across Xbox and PlayStation in Gearbox's previous title, Borderlands 3. Borderlands 3 did eventually go on to get crossplay between Xbox and PC, but now, however, it appears that Gearbox and Sony have worked out a solution, meaning that the upcoming Borderlands D&D spin-off title will finally include full crossplay between the competing platforms.

“Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will ship on March 25 with full cross play for all platforms at launch, including PlayStation,” said Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford. “Incredible work from the engineers at Gearbox Software with thanks to our partners at 2k Games and 1st parties, including Sony, for working together on this.”

Gearbox has been dialling up the marketing for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands ahead of its release later this month - you can check out twenty minutes of gameplay footage here, or discover more about its end-game dungeon here. We even got confirmation last week of Wonderlands' post-launch DLC in the Season Pass Trailer here.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is launching on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 25th March 2022.
