Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin launches today on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and you can watch the game's opening movie now.
Released by Square Enix today, Stranger of Paradise's opening scene sees the villainous Chaos carving his way through a group of soldiers attempting to stop him. True to his final boss status from the original Final Fantasy, the soldiers aren't much of a challenge, and eventually, the surviving members give up the will to fight. Now that's the sign of a good villain.
Developed by Ninja Theory, the studio behind Nioh and Ninja Gaiden, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a dark fantasy reimagining of the original Final Fantasy, but with elements from other Final Fantasy games included as well. It seems a rather bizarre take on that original game, but you can give it a go for yourself in the demo on Xbox, if you fancy.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is out today on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
