Publisher Nacon and developer Big Bad Wolf Studio have released new Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong gameplay today, offering a fresh look at the upcoming narrative-driven RPG. Due to launch this May, the game will have you rubbing shoulders with the Boston Camarilla, a secret society comprising most of the city's vampires.

Following an attack upon the Camarilla by mysterious assassins, it falls to Galeb Bazory, Emem Louis, and Leysha to discover the identity of the attackers, at the behest of Boston Camarilla Prince Hazel Iversen. Your mission is to infiltrate, investigate, and get to the bottom of the attack, using your supernatural powers where necessary.

Solving puzzles and gathering clues, you'll also interact with other characters, while customising each of the protagonists' individual character sheets to determine their skills, powers, and expertise. Using powers will carry a price, causing you to lust for blood, and should a character become short on blood, their ‘inner beast’ will take over.

Naturally, there will be humans to feed upon, but you'll need to chow down on some neck out of sight, lest you blow the vampire laws of the Masquerade. Featuring multiple story branches and a range choices - some time-sensitive, some permanently impacting the story and the fate of each character - Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong is set to release on 19th May.

  • That really looks outdated - like a X360 game...
  • I just want Bloodlines 2, even if it turns out to be a buggy mess like the first one.
  • Maybe not 360, but last gen for sure. Still overall feeling I get is solid story with gameplay, so will definitely get it on deep discount or on gamepass if it comes that way.
