Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, aptly named Resistance, launched over the weekend, and it made one major change to the game - it removed building.

It's only a temporary change, but it does mean that in the near future, you're not going to be seeing sugar-fuelled teens rapidly building a massive tower in a matter of moments. To compensate for the removal of Fortnite's instant cover, players will now have an Overshield on top of their regular shield, as well as new movement options. These include mantling, shoulder bashing, and a faster movement speed and sprint speed.

There's plenty more arriving in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, including new weapons, IO Blimps around the map, IO artillery, a Repair Torch for healing vehicles, and of course, a brand new Battle Pass. The full details can be found on the Fortnite website here.

Epic Games has also announced that it will be donating all Fortnite proceeds from 20th March 2022 until 3rd April 2022 to humanitarian relief organisations in support of Ukraine, following Russia's invasion. These include Direct Relief, UNICEF, United Nations World Food Programme, and The UN Refugee Agency. Xbox is also supporting Epic, and committing all of its own net proceeds for Fortnite during these two weeks. Considering that this is coming at the beginning of a brand new Fortnite season, this should likely see a huge amount of money raised in support of Ukraine.
