Nacon has dropped a new trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong, showing off more of its RPG mechanics and tabletop heritage.

Each of the three heroes that players will control in Swansong - Galeb, Emem, and Leysha - will have their own character sheet, which can be upgraded throughout the game as you like. Having different points in different skills will increase your chance your chances of successfully completing an action, such as intimidating an NPC or picking a lock.

Outside of these skills, each Vampiric character will have access to their own Disciplines, which can also be customised. Galeb can use Fortitude to increase his physical defences, while Leysha can conceal her presence with Obfuscate to sneak by guards. Players can dip into many different playstyles using their character sheet, but focusing entirely on one will allow them to develop Talents, which offer permanent bonuses.

Each NPC will also have their own character sheet, however, and can use their own stats to defend themselves from a player's Skills and Disciplines. In these situations, a roll of the dice will determine the outcome.

You can check it all out in detail in the new trailer down below. Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong launches on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 19th May 2022.
