Bandai Namco has announced One Piece Odyssey, a new RPG based on the beloved manga series releasing later this year, and we've got a colourful new trailer to check out.
The game will see Luffy and his crew swallowed by a massive storm at sea, before being washed up on a mysterious island full of nature. The crew must scout out the island, fighting never-before-seen monsters designed by One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda himself, with players able to play as Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Frankie, and Brook.
The game has apparently been in the works for “many years” now, with Japanese developer ILCA at the helm. ILCA previously worked on Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and also supported development on Dragon Quest XI, which shares a similar art style to One Piece Odyssey. One Piece Odyssey also looks to be employing a turn-based combat system.
One Piece Odyssey is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2022. You can check out the announcement trailer down below.
