Apex Legends Launches on Xbox Series X|S Today

EA and Respawn Entertainment have announced that Apex Legends arrives on Xbox Series X|S today.

The game will utilise Smart Delivery, so you don't need to worry about any fiddly upgrades. This “next-gen” update sees a fully Xbox Series X|S native version of Apex Legends launching, with plenty of improvements over the back-compat version of the game that players have been playing on Microsoft's new consoles. Here's a list of the improvements coming in this new version of the game.

  • Full 60hz gameplay
          PS5 & Xbox Series X|S
  • HDR
          PS5 & Xbox Series X|S
  • Higher resolution shadow maps
          PS5 & Xbox Series X
  • Greater LOD distances
          PS5 & Xbox Series X

This isn't the end of Apex Legends' next-gen support, however. Respawn Entertainment will also be bringing even more next-gen features to the battle royale game in the future, including 120FPS support. You can check out the full list down below.

This next-gen update arrives alongside the new Warriors Collection Event, which also launches later today, and sees the return of Control Mode.
