Billed as “a pure test of weapon, item, and traversal ability”, Epic Games has today launched Fortnite Zero Build, permanently removing fort-building mechanics from Battle Royale in a separate mode, added in response to feedback from the popular No-Build Battle Royale Mode introduced during Chapter 3 Season 2.

Available via the game's Discover page as Solo, Duos, Trios, and Squads playlists, Zero Build is Fortnite Battle Royale without building, granting all players a recharging Overshield, faster Sprinting, a parkour-style Mantling ability, and an Ascenders skill that enables you to “zip up” to sky-high Blimps.

A v20.00 hotfix is also available today, adding the new Anvil Rocket Launcher and funding to unvault either the Combat Assault Rifle or MK-Seven Assault Rifle, both of which can be found scattered across the Island from 2nd April, 4am ET to 4th April, 11:59pm ET. Once the funding goal for one of the weapons has been reached by contributing Bars at the Donation Boards, the winning rifle will enter the loot pool.

You can jump into Fortnite Zero Build from today on all platforms. Check it out in the new gameplay trailer below.

  • Remove tanks from non building and its perfect..

A tank has 2500 hp and we have 0 way of hiding from it only shooting with bloom bullets.. its stupid af
  • It's been so long since I've played Fortnite that I didn't know it even had tanks. That's probably going to suck with less cover.
  • @Dirty

Nah, they're very easy to fight against.
  • @Dirty They've only just been added this season. Most likely they'll be vaulted at the end of the season if not during.
  • Right on. Cheers!
