Epic Games has announced that it has raised $100 million in humanitarian relief funds in support of Ukraine, following Russia's ongoing brutal invasion.
Many video game companies have been offered their support to Ukraine over the past month, but Epic Games took things a step further, and committed to donating all proceeds from the first two weeks of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 towards humanitarian support for Ukraine.
The move quickly paid off, with Epic Games announcing that it had raised $36 million US dollars in the first day of the new Fortnite season. While player spending hasn't quite kept up the insane momentum from the first day of the season, Epic Games has now confirmed that it has now raised $100 million in total, nine days into the two-week fundraiser. You can find more information on which charities and organisations the money is being donated to on the Fortnite website here.
All proceeds in Fortnite will continue to be put towards the humanitarian relief fund up to and through 3rd April 2022.
