Starfield Video Introduces Vasco, Your Friendly Robot Companion

Bethesda has released a new video for Starfield, showing off a little bit of new gameplay, and introducing one of the game's companions - Vasco.

Described as one of Bethesda's “favourite companions in the game”, Vasco is an expeditionary robot, built by Lunar Robotics, and refurbished to help support Constellation's mission. He's apparently a “utilitarian, heavy-industrial machine” made specifically for space travel, and able to traverse rough terrain, with plenty of survival gear and a good payload capacity. He does also have some defensive weapons, but he is primarily peaceful.

“How can I be of assistance?” Vasco asks the player towards the end of the video, and we're very sure he'll turn out to be very useful when exploring the vast reaches of space when Starfield launches on Xbox Series X|S and PC on 11th November 2022.

  • i have no use for companions in video games (although, i did like the Kotor companions - especially the killer robot). they either need constant attention/management or they get in the way during combat or they hog all the kills etc.

  • Have you tried the Mimic Tear in Elden Ring, more so pre-patch? It'll have you thinking different! :P
