Outright Games has announced Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova, an upcoming game based upon the hit Nickelodeon animated series, in which six alien teens aboard an abandoned Federation starship, embark upon intergalactic adventures.

Revealed ahead of this weekend's Star Trek: Mission Chicago 2022, Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova is the first Star Trek game to be aimed squarely at a younger audience, hoping to foster a new generation of Trekkers. The animated show debuted in 2021, and has so far run for nine episodes.

The game will feature characters like Dal, Gwyn, and Hologram Captain Janeway, the latter showcased in the promotional artwork below. Expect more details on Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova soon, ahead of its release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

  • There's a Star Trek cartoon on Nick?
  • #1 yeah but it’s being broadcast by Paramount, episode 1 is free on YouTube and can be found on Paramount Plus.
  • And it's alright. But I'm a trekkie so I would say that. It's weird because the show just came out, and doesn't even feel like it's hit its status quo yet.

Seems way too early for a game.
  • Oh yay. More Kurtzman Trek: Said no one ever.
  • Kurtzman Trek, so not real Trek, hard pass.
  • kurtzman isn't even behind prodigy. Not even lower decks had kurtzman
