We've got another fantasy action-RPG on the way to Xbox Game Pass in the form of Unsouled, which now has an April release date.

You take on the role of a prince from a collapsed empire, who has the ability to absorb the souls of the dead in order to grow in power. Combat is fast-paced and requires a combination of skill and timing, with players having to chain together combos and counter enemy attacks.

The pixel art world features five story chapters to travel through, with over sixty passive skills to collect, sixteen character skills to master, and plenty of boss fights to take down.

Unsouled is launching on Xbox One via Xbox Game Pass, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 28th April 2022.

  • This looks interesting. A Hyper Light Drifter kind of visual style to it.

There's a lot going on on-screen though, making it a little difficult to parse what's going on, at least passively in a trailer. Worth a shot on GP, anyway.
  • @Dervius, Yeah, the scene cut after scene cut of frenetic action makes it appear quite chaotic, although I'm sure it's not actually like that... They probably just wanted to have a trailer that pops.

Not only does it look like Hyper Light Drifter, but there are some elements you can spot that also look quite similar, such as the animation of the chracter's dash.

Worth keeping an eye on this one.
