Melty Blood: Type Lumina, the fast-paced 2D fighting game from Project Lumina, will be receiving a second free DLC later this week, adding playable characters ‘Powered Ciel' and ‘Mario Gallo Bestino’, each with their own stories and new stage.

Ciel comes to Melty Blood: Type Lumina with her ‘Seventh Holy Scripture’ weapon, enabling her to drain a huge amount of magical energy. She has ‘Blaze’, ‘Blade’, and ‘Break’ attacks, too, using brute force and magic for her heavy armament. She's aggressive and has varied combo attacks, switching between gun, blade, and pile-driver weapons on the fly.

Mario, meanwhile, uses a ‘Piano Machine’ to control nuns like puppets. As such, he uses Sisters for offensive attacks, excelling in medium-to-long-range showdowns - Mario is a “technical, speed character”, able to dominate battles using a massive number of Sisters as fighting marionettes. You can see Ciel and Mario in action in their respective trailers below.

The new DLC will be coming to Melty Blood: Type Lumina on 14th April, alongside the new ‘Battle at the Threshold’ and ‘Actions in the Lower World’ stages, and new balancing adjustments, as well as new colour variations and palettes.
