Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED has stated that there's more work to be done on the game yet, despite the launch of the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 update in February, and a subsequent 1.52 patch last month. Still, the Polish studio has more improvements in the pipeline, as well as expansions in the offing.
“We're still improving the game, because we are all aware that there is work to be done," Quest Director Pawel Sasko stated (as reported by TheGamer). “We're very happy you guys like 1.5, and that gives us more…incentive to work for you guys because you show your appreciation for it. That’s as much as I can tell you. We are working on stuff for you. Like, I’m literally daily reviewing quests, talking to people about stuff, so it is happening."
Sasko also went on to confirm that work is underway on DLC story expansions for Cyberpunk 2077, although he does stop short of providing any specifics. “I cannot tell you anything about our future plans, but I can assure you that we are working on expansions – we’re working on stuff for you guys,” Sasko continued. As for a release window for Cyberpunk 2077 expansions, that remains under wraps for now.
Of course, CD Projekt RED has plenty on its plate already, with support for Cyberpunk 2077 and the beginning of a new The Witcher saga using Unreal Engine 5.
