Scarlet Nexus has sold over one million units, Bandai Namco has announced.

The Japanese action-RPG first launched in June last year, and saw players taking on the role of a soldier in the Other Suppression Force, tasked with taking out the bizarre interdimensional creatures that are attacking the human race.

One million sales in under a year is no mean feat for a brand new IP, and that number is also bolstered by the game's addition to Xbox Game Pass last September, which Bandai Namco says has seen an addition one million players trying out the game, bringing the total player count to two million. To celebrate and thank the game's players, the Japanese publisher has released a special piece of artwork from Scarlet Nexus concept artist, Tamami Ishikawa. You can check that out down below.

Scarlet Nexus is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. And if you're interested in playing it, make sure to read our definitive review on the game right here.

  • One developer hates on PS Plus, another developer is happy with Game Pass when getting another million players in their game.
  • Solid game I only ever beat one side of story so definitely need to go back and replay other half at some point, hopefully this year.
  • @revczar that's cause Microsoft makes sure the company coming into gamepass is properly compensated with a large majority of if not the whole of development cost, some scum bag companies like Square Enix took the deal but didn't give money back to Outriders Dev
  • I'd like to now how many of those 2 millions actually have completed the game. I really enjoyed it but at the end it was quite repetitive...
