While Skydance New Media already has a Marvel game on its slate, the studio, led by Uncharted series writer and creative director Amy Hennig, has announced that it's also working on a new Star Wars action-adventure title, alongside Lucasfilm Games.
Apparently, the Hennig-led Star Wars project at Skydance will feature a new and original story, although details are thin on the ground at present. “I've often described how seeing Star Wars in 1977 essentially rewired my 12-year-old brain, shaping my creative life and future indelibly,” Hennig remarked in the announcement. "I'm elated to be working with Lucasfilm Games again to tell interactive stories in this galaxy that I love."
Lucasfilm Games VP Douglas Reilly added: “We couldn't be more thrilled to be working again with [Hennig]. She and the Skydance New Media team have the talent and ambition to create a unique Star Wars adventure. Their vision for making inviting, cinematic interactive entertainment makes this collaboration very exciting. We're working hard with their team of experienced and talented developers, and we're looking forward to sharing more with Star Wars fans when the time is right.”
And so, we wait with bated breath for more on Hennig, Skydance, and Lucasfilm Games' upcoming Star Wars project, which we're hoping might be a bit like the ill-fated Star Wars 1313. Feel free to speculate about it in the comments below.

While Skydance New Media already has a Marvel game on its slate, the studio, led by Uncharted series writer and creative director Amy Hennig, has announced that it's also working on a new Star Wars action-adventure title, alongside Lucasfilm Games.
Hennig had previously been brought in by EA as creative director on a Star Wars project (codenamed ‘Ragtag’) at now-defunct Dead Space studio Visceral, before it collapsed and was unceremoniously cancelled. Hennig subsequently joined Skydance Media, forming a division of the studio named Skydance New Media.
