Arcadegeddon is leaving early access and launching in full this July, developer IllFonic has announced, and will be coming to Xbox consoles too.

Developed by the studio behind Friday the 13th: The Game and the upcoming Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Arcadegeddon sees players teaming up with up to three additional players, in order to fight off AI-controlled enemies and save the local arcade.

You can recruit local gangs to Gilly's Arcade, and complete their challenges in order to unlock Surge Gauntlet Abilities. This powers (including fireballs and health drones) can help players build their own loadout, with 35 weapons to choose from, eight enemy base types to take out, and four boss fights to challenge you. The game will also feature full crossplay support between all platforms.

“Because we had far fewer physical events to get feedback from players, Early Access was core to helping bring Arcadegeddon to fruition,” says Charles Brungardt, CEO, IllFonic. “Thanks to everyone who helped us bring this action-packed experience to fruition with their input.”

Arcadegeddon is launching on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 5th July 2022.
