Outriders Worldslayer Paid Expansion Unveiled For June Release With New Campaign and Endgame Content

Richard Walker

Square Enix and People Can Fly's sci-fi shooter RPG title Outriders is due to receive a substantial paid campaign expansion this June. Titled Outriders Worldslayer, the DLC adds a brand-new campaign, new endgame content, and new features.

Worldslayer sees the Anomaly from the main game evolving to a point where it's creating devastating blizzards, frost storms, and flash freezes across Enoch, prompting you and your fellow Outriders to venture to the furthest reaches of the planet. On top of all the frosty shenanigans, you'll also have a powerful new Altered called the Ereshkigal to content with.

The main antagonist in Outrider Worldslayer, Erishkigal, and her faction of human minions will cross your path on multiple occasions during your quest to save humanity from Enoch's Anomaly-based climate catastrophe. New, separate PAX class trees will also be available in Worldslayer, with impactful choices to make that will determine the performance of your Outrider character.

Additionally, a new Ascension system will add 200 levels on top of the character level cap of 30, each level granting a point to spend in one of four categories, each with five options apiece. You can spend Ascension points on maxing out cooldown time, boosting your firepower, increasing your resistances, or whatever. No decision is permanent, so you respec at any time.

An Apocalypse system will also introduce new difficulty Tiers to fight through, with new Apocalypse Gear drops rewarded for playing at an Apocalypse Tier difficulty. You might get gear with three mods instead of two, so you can power up your Outrider even further. There's more in the trailers below.

Outriders Worldslayer will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 30th June, priced $59.99/£54.99 with the base game or $39.99/£34.24 for the upgrade if you already own Outriders. Pre-order via the Microsoft Store and you can get a 10% discount.

  • Anthem 2.0??
  • This looks amazing. I loved Outriders and sank tons of hours into it when I played. They're adding so much content in this expansion. And the new campaign looks awesome. I can't wait to play this. I hope they add a ton of new achievements and maybe even pull a Monster Hunter and throw another 1000 gamerscore our way. Regardless I'll be going for them all. :D
  • I didn't mind Outriders so may take a look.
  • I hope there is no achievements for the expansion especially for doing it on the stupid pointless apocalypse difficulty setting.
