Halo Infinite Campaign Co-op Targeting August Launch in Latest Roadmap

Developer 343 Industries has revealed that it is currently targeting a “late August” release for campaign co-op in Halo Infinite.

The developer laid out Halo Infinite's latest roadmap for 2022 in a new blog post, which includes new multiplayer maps, new game modes, and new narrative events. When it comes to the campaign, however, both Campaign Co-op and Campaign Mission Replay are planned to launch in late August 2022.

The roadmap will be updated over time as the targets become more certain, and it reflects 343's “priority zero” of team health, with the developer aiming to get into a “sustainable development rhythm” and maintain a healthy work/life balance.

“We know we need to deliver more content and more features more quickly. Staying true to priority zero means that sometimes we need to slow down in order to stay healthy and move faster later. But we’re also aggressively looking at ways to accelerate,” says the blog post.

Halo Infinite's campaign co-op was previously due to launch alongside Season 2, which kicks off next month, but was later delayed alongside Forge Mode. You can check out Halo Infinite's full 2022 roadmap down below.

  • What a joke.
  • I wish Microsoft would wake up and take Halo away from this terrible company.
  • Uh this ship sailed away on 12-8-21

…Literally had six years to make this “the way it’s meant to be made” which is what they tried to sell to everyone at the first trailer.

    Shit is beyond a joke.
  • I used to be the guy that defended 343. Those days are long gone...
  • Wow so we have to wait a year after launch for features we thought would be there at launch. Features that were promised to be included with the help of the 12-month delay.

I'm deleting this game off my console today. Maybe in November I'll check it out again but amazed the live service model didn't do more to keep this game alive for the people that don't care about getting nickel and dimed for something to do.
  • Two seasons in a year for a live service game is atrocious. Only two new maps as well. It pains me how far Halo has fallen. This should have been its revival
  • They should have kept the game until the co-op was ready. Nuff said.
  • I’m fine with the wait. Not happy but fine. I have plenty of games to play in the meantime.
What I’d like is if the 2nd player isn’t just a Chief clone but another spartan with new story for coop. Player 2 plays as the new spartan. Maybe he or she has to be rescued first?
  • Granted the game was free for Xbox and PC 343 has completely lost track of this game I agree with #2 their time may be up with Halo
  • You're thinking of Clustertruck. It's a fun racing game.
