Chained Echoes, a SNES-style JRPG, will be coming to Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC later this year, publisher Deck13 Spotlight has announced. The work of developer Matthias Linda, Chained Echoes boasts eye-catching 16-bit pixel art visuals, and a storyline that blends fantasy and sci-fi.
That means you can wield a sword, channel magic spells, and climb aboard a mech to fight vicious enemies across the game's war-scarred continent of Valandis. Rumours of a weapon of mass destruction set you and your allies off on a quest to attempt destroying the weapon, and restore peace.
You and your band of heroes must strive to bring an end to a war that has raged for generations between the three kingdoms of Valandis, visiting diverse landscapes and dungeons. You can take a look at Chained Echoes in the new trailer below, then look out for its arrival on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC in Q4 2022.
