Call of Duty: Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward could be preparing to lift the lid on a sequel to the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot, if a possible tease on its Twitter account is to be believed.
The studio replaced its profile and banner images over the weekend, which at first glance appear to be entirely pitch black. However, turning the brightness up on the pictures (as reported by CharlieIntel) appears to show Modern Warfare stalwart Ghost, and his instantly recognisable painted skull mask.
It's thought that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 reveal could happen as soon as 30th April, according to leaked info from CoD insider RalphsValve, which is earlier than the usual summer window for Call of Duty reveals. For comparison, 2021's Call of Duty: Vanguard was unveiled in August.

We do know that 2022's CoD will be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, with Infinity Ward at the helm once more, although what happens in 2023 is currently anyone's guess, with rumours suggesting that next year's instalment of Call of Duty could be replaced by a free-to-play effort from Treyarch.
As for 2022, we'll keep our eyes peeled for an official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 announcement (presumably) quite soon.
