Activision has revealed new details on future Call of Duty games in its latest financial results, including both the next premium Call of Duty, and the next Warzone experience.
The publisher confirmed that this year's premium Call of Duty experience would be a sequel to 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which Activision says was the “most successful” Call of Duty title to date. This sequel will apparently be the “most advanced experience in franchise history”.
Additionally, Call of Duty: Warzone will be getting a new free-to-play experience built from the ground up alongside Modern Warfare 2, with “groundbreaking innovations” that are due to be revealed later in 2022.
Call of Duty: Warzone's last major overhaul came in late 2021, with the Pacific update adding a brand new map to tie in with Call of Duty: Vanguard's WWII setting.
