Ubisoft has unveiled a new limited-time event for Rainbow Six Siege named 'Rengoku', due to commence tomorrow, with a fast-paced, new 5v5 control mode, and a raft of Samurai-themed content, including Operator uniforms, headgear, weapon skins, and more.
In the new control area mode, players need to stay near altars for five seconds without opposition to score control points or steal points from the rival team. Set in a ‘revisited’ Skyscraper map, the first team to accumulate 300 points wins, and every two minutes, control points change location. Respawns are fast, keeping you in the thick of the action.
Operators come armed with a one-hit kill explosive Kiba on top of shotguns and pistols, with participating Operators Fuze, Osa, Rook, and Thunderbird able to choose from a Fire or Poison Kiba. Twitch, Capitão, Zofia, Kapkan, Bandit, and Maestro can choose between the Flashback or Knockback Kiba to wreak chaos.
The Rengoku Collection is also available, offering Samurai gear and Operator Card Portraits for the Rengoku characters, while the Battlefield Spirit Bundle includes a signature weapon skin, a universal attachment skin, charm, and background. Rengoku Collection Packs can be earned by completing Event Challenges, or purchased for 300 R6 Credits / 12,500 Renown each.
Individual Rengoku Bundles can also be bought for 1,680 Credits apiece. The Rainbow Six Siege Rengoku limited-time event starts on 26th April and runs until 17th May. Check out the trailer below for a glimpse at what's in store.
