2K is working on a new multiplayer game called Gravity Goal, with the aim to compete with the ultra-popular Rocket League, according to a report from reputable journalist Tom Henderson (via Exputer).
Henderson, who has an excellent track record when it comes to reporting on unreleased games, says that Gravity Goal will work in a very similar way to Rocket League, but will feature bikes similar to the Light Cycles from the Disney series Tron. The game will feature 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 matches, with players aiming to hit a ball with their vehicle into a goal in order to score points. So far, so Rocket League, right?
Additionally, however, players will be able to strike opposing vehicles with hockey puck-like discs. These discs, and most of the game's aesthetics, will feature Tron-like bright neon colours and a “futuristic and high-energy-based vibe”. Henderson also reports that Gravity Goal will likely be free-to-play, and could be announced within the next few months.
