Elden Ring Patch Fixes Malenia's Regeneration Glitch

Elden Ring Patch Fixes Malenia's Regeneration Glitch

Matt Lorrigan

Elden Ring Patch 1.04 launched last week, and added in a huge number of balance changes and some new content to the game. However, it also accidentally added in a new glitch with one of the game's hardest bosses, and now we've got another update which finally fixes the issue.

Following the launch of Patch 1.04, Malenia Blade of Miquella was suddenly able to regenerate health even when not landing hits on the player, if you had summoned a co-operator into the fight. The latest patch now fixes that issue. It also addresses a bug that saw the duration of the Cerulean Hidden Tear accidentally reduced, and fixes a problem that could prevent the Elden Beast boss fight from “working properly”.

It's a smaller update, but you can check out the full patch notes down below.

Major Changes Included in the Latest Update

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug in which the effect duration of the Cerulean Hidden Tear was revised downward
  • Fixed a bug with Malenia, Blade of Miquella in which her HP was not healed correctly in the online multiplayer environment
  • Fixed a bug that caused some bosses to die at unintended times
    • Fixed a bug that prevented the boss "Elden Beast" from working properly under certain circumstances
  • Fixed some texts

The version number of this update shown at the lower right corner of the Title Screen will be as follows:

App Ver. 1.04.1
Regulation Ver. 1.04.2

Online play requires the player to apply this update.

  • Like Malenia wasn't bad enough, she was able to regen without hitting anything?! Glad I didn't experience that, I'd have raged, lol.
  • The only thing I know of this boss is that bug or not that Solo Her fellow is an internet hero.
  • Dang. Looks like I'll have to beat Fire Giant legit. He's next on my hit list.
  • Fire giant is very easy, just stay close to him at all times
