Codemasters and EA have today confirmed that Scuderia Ferrari's Charles Leclerc will be performing cover star duties for EA Sports F1 22, as well as serving as an ambassador for the game. Leclerc is currently leading the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship, so his promotion to primary cover star makes sense.

Leclerc will share the cover with Lando Norris of McLaren and Mercedes racer George Russell. Meanwhile, previous world champions Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, and current champ, Max Verstappen team up for the F1 22 Champions Edition. This bundles the game with a time-limited Miami pack, celebrating the city's inaugural Grand Prix this season, three-day early access, and other bonuses.

EA Sports F1 22 is due to launch for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 1st July, with the 2022 season's new cars, overhauled rules, F1 Sprint races, and an authentic simulation with new Adaptive AI. The new F1 Life Hub will also enable players to show off their collection of customisation items and supercars.

You can take a lap around the Miami International Autodrome circuit in the new EA Sports F1 22 gameplay trailer below.
