Rebellion has dropped a new trailer for Sniper Elite 5, showing off plenty of new features that players can expect from the upcoming sniping sequel ahead of its launch later this month.

Set in France in 1944, Sniper Elite 5's expansive campaign can be played either alone, or entirely in online co-op, letting you and another player co-ordinate attacks from afar, or storm the gates together. Online multiplayer isn't just limited to co-op, however, with a new optional Invasion Mode that allows another player to join your game as an Axis sniper, attempting to hunt down Karl and take him out. However, Karl can also utilise phones found in a level to gather intel on the invader and discover their location, possibly turning the tables on the invading player.

For those looking for a purely single-player experience, there's still lots of new features and improvements to be excited about. Gun physics have been made more authentic than ever before, and weapon customisation has been expanded, with stocks, magazines, receivers, barrels, scopes, and iron sights all able to be changed. Meanwhile the series' iconic Kill Cam has been enhanced, with bullets ricocheting off bone (ew) and it will now activate after clinical kills with pistols and SMGs, as well. There's also more traversal options in this latest game, giving players more options and routes in each level.

You can check out all the new features in the new gameplay trailer down below. Sniper Elite 5 is launching on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S via Xbox Game Pass, as well as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on 26th May 2022.
