Bungie has announced the return of Destiny 2's Guardian Games, which has Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans pitted against one another for a place on the podium and Guardian glory. Across a range of events, you'll earn points for yourself and your class, with the ability to ‘warm up’ in the new training playlist and competitive strike playlist.

Earning Strike Medals and competing for weekly high scores, you'll be able to play alone or with a Fireteam, while playing PvE content will enable you to collect Laurels. You can then unlock rewards like the Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun and catalyst, Legendary SMG, and Exotic Ship. New attire is also available at the Eververse store.

Lighting the Platinum Torches will also unlock the Guardian Games Tankard and Guardian Games Medal, via Bungie Rewards, and each week of the Guardian Games will end with podium ceremonies, granting gold, silver, and bronze auras to each class. The winning class when the games close on 24th May, will have a commemorative trophy displayed at the Tower until next year's games.

The Guardian Games is live now in Destiny 2 until 24th May, alongside Guardian Games Cup contest and Direct Relief Charity Event, raising donations for humanitarian aid. You can read all about that in the latest Bungie blog post here. Donating $25 USD or more will grant the Guardian's Oath emblem, which can be redeemed on Bungie.net.
