The release of AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative has been delayed by two weeks in Europe, developer Spike ChunSoft has announced.

The cult detective game sequel was originally due to launch in the US and Europe at the same time, on 24th June 2022. However, manufacturing delays and “global shipping slowdowns” have seen Spike ChunSoft and Numskull Games, who is supporting physical publishing in the west, decide to delay the game's release to 8th July across all platforms in the European and Oceania regions.

While the manufacturing and shipping delays would, in theory, only affect the physical versions of the game, both parties have chosen to delay the digital release of AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative across Europe and Oceania as well, to maintain parity with the physical release.

Still, a two week delay isn't too bad in the grand scheme of things. If you want to catch up on what to actually expect from the game when it launches in a couple of months, you can check out the latest story trailer here.

AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA is now due to launch on 8th July 2022 in Europe and Oceania, after the US release on 24th June 2022.
