Developer Cosmonaut Studios has announced that the console release of time manipulation game Eternal Threads has been delayed, although we do have a nice new How To Play trailer to check out too.
Originally due to release on Xbox One next week, Eternal Threads is a non-linear, narrative driven puzzle adventure, that focuses on the consequences of time manipulation. The new trailer introduces Operator 43, your player character, and the SCP Visualiser, a nifty bit of kit that allows you bounce around on the timeline of the six characters whose fate you're trying to change by saving them from a deadly fire.
Once you find important moments on the timeline, you can change the decisions that the characters make (or made?), altering their future in the process. Each character can be saved in different ways, and players will have to work out what combination of choices can result in every character surviving the fire. You can check out the full video down below.
Eternal Threads doesn't have a new release date for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 yet, with the developer confirming that it will “share the new release date as soon as we’re happy that Eternal Threads on console is the game it was always meant to be, without introducing crunch into our development processes”.
