Ubisoft has kicked off Rainbow Six Extraction's latest Crisis Event, which introduces a deadly new enemy in the Protean Vigil, a lethal and unavoidable fog of toxins in the Containment Zone, and a new Prestige System with ten levels to "grind out" by earning XP. Fittingly titled ‘Nightmare Fog’, the new event also has a new weapon, themed charms, and more.
Exposure to the fog will increase your Neurotoxin level, which at a certain point starts to inflict psychedelic effects upon your Operator, including enemy hallucinations, disruptions to vision, and physical deterioration that causes damage. The only cure is a Neurostim supply case that drops your Neurotoxin level, but each sub-map has only a limited supply.
Nightmare Fog is live now until 2nd June for Rainbow Six Extraction on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, Stadia, and Luna, with the ten-level Prestige System, Protean Vigil enemy, REACT Rush pistol, five new Crisis Studies, themed charms, and extra XP towards Milestone Progression.
