New Silent Hill Game Leaked With Screenshots and Concept Art

A new Silent Hill game has been leaked, with four screenshots and one piece of concept art posted online

The images were tweeted out by noted industry insider AestheticGamer1 (aka Dusk Golem) on Twitter, who has an excellent track record when it comes to reporting on titles like Resident Evil Village ahead of official announcements. The screenshots were then quickly hit by a copyright claim from Konami only hours after they first went up, seemingly confirming their validity.

Dusk Golem has offered a few further details on this new Silent Hill game and the images, although is keeping most of the information vague “until it's properly revealed” for the sake of spoilers and surprises. According to the leaker, the game is a joint production between multiple studios, and former Silent Hill art director and monster designer Masahiro Ito is working on the project, with one piece of concept art from him depicting a hallway full of sticky notes, and a strange blooming monster at the end of it. One of the leaked screenshots also shows the same scene in-game. The images are reportedly from a 2020 build of the game.

Current speculation suggests that this game is the rumoured Silent Hill game from Bloober Team, the developer behind The Medium and Layers of Fear. Bloober Team announced in February 2021 that it had been “working for more than a year on another gaming project, another horror IP” and that they were working with “a very famous gaming publisher”. Then, later in 2021, Bloober Team and Konami announced a partnership between the two gaming companies, in which they'd create “joint content”.

The timeline here would appear to match up with Dusk Golem's information, with Bloober Team working on a game in a horror IP since 2020 and earlier. You can see the leaked imaged for the unannounced Silent Hill game down below.

  • Hope to hear and see more on this. If it's Bloober's game, we're in for a treat!
  • Not very excited for Bloober taking lead on this. But let’s wait for final product, I mean they can’t screw up Silent Hill license right…?!
  • Ya lost me at layers of fear developer.
