Developer Mediatonic and Epic Games has announced that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is coming to Xbox and Nintendo Switch this June, and will be free-to-play. And it looks like it's also dropping the ‘Ultimate Knockout’ suffix, so you can disregard that full title. Fall Guys it is then.

With the game arriving in free-to-play form, Fall Guys will debut on Xbox and Switch with a new in-game currency called ‘Show-Bucks’, alongside “major updates” to the game's progression systems. New challenges and rewards will also feature, as will full cross-play and cross-progression, across all platforms, via ‘Epic Online Services’.

A game in which little jelly bean characters compete to knock each other off the map, avoiding obstacles along hazardous courses, Fall Guys takes game shows like Takeshi's Castle as its influence. The game's first new season will be ‘Season 1: ’Free For All', with a selection of events and rewards to earn.

Fall Guys will be toppling its way onto Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and the Epic Games Store on 21st June 2022. Check out the new trailer below.

  • Dead game. Two years too late.
  • If it's free to play, I'm sure it will find an audience.
