eFootball 2022 Season One has come to an end, and Konami has outlined what to expect from the game in the run-up to the Season Two launch next month, including a lengthy maintenance period.

Season Two is due to begin on 16th June 2022, and will bring with it “various in-game events”, with more details to be announced closer to launch. In preparation for the new season, eFootball version 1.1.0 update will launch at the beginning of June, making improvements to the online experience, server capacity, and prepping everything for some future features, such as cross-progression between consoles and mobile.

These sever improvements will be made during a fairly long maintenance period, running from 30th May until 2nd June, which means at least two days of no online functionality, and possibly more. During this time, offline trial matches will still be available using certain clubs, with a new beginner difficulty level, and a new ten-minute match option.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the long maintenance period and thank you for your patience,” says the development team at Konami.

The long gap between the end of Season One and the start of Season Two will also see a fair amount of content absent from the game for nearly a month, including the popular eFootball League mode, which sees players climbing divisions. Just another baffling decision from a game with so much missed potential.
