Ubisoft has revealed Year 7 Season 2 of Rainbow Six Siege, named “Operation Vector Glare”, adding in a brand new Operator, new content, and a surprising Yakuza crossover.
Belgian operator Sens is the biggest addition in this new season of content, working as an Attacker who brings a unique gadget to the game. Sens' R.O.U. Projector System deploys a small wheel that travels in a straight line, bouncing of off walls, and leaving behind a wall of light that blocks players' line of sight. Offering low speed but high health, Sens comes equipped with the new POF-9 or a 417 as their primary, and a SDP 9MM or GONNE-6 as their secondary weapon.
Also arriving at the launch of the season is the new Close Quarter map, an exclusive Team Deathmatch map set in Greece that focuses more on movement than defence setups.
The other unique arrival in Year 7 Season 2 is a Yakuza crossover. Ubisoft and SEGA have partnered up to add in new skins for Hibana and Echo, based on Kaoru Sayama and Kiryu Kazuma, respectively. Echo will also be getting another Yakuza-inspired skin, which is “coming soon”.
There's plenty more arriving in Operation Vector Glare, including new onboarding tools for new players, new punishments for friendly fire, privacy options, and even some narrative changes. Rainbow Six Siege Year 7 Season 2 launches on 7th June 2022.
